This first song is by Peruvian producer Sofia Kourtesis, from her debut album Madres. It's dedicated to her Mother and the neurosurgeon who saved her life. I've listened to this song so many times on the radio but it was only after listening to it closely on headphones that I noticed all the amazing detail in the backing, especially the drum programming which has been exquisitely created.
To pair with this I've chosen and another upbeat song, Rah That's A Mad Question by Barry Can't Swim, aka Scottish born, London based DJ Joshua Mannie. It's the lead track from his debut 2021 EP.
